About me
Carolyn is the Regional Director of Community Health and Well Being and the Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity at Trinity Health Of New England, where she works alongside community organizations to enhance the health and wellbeing of residents, particularly those who are most vulnerable. In addition to overseeing social services that provide direct support to residents and patients, Carolyn leads social impact investing initiatives aimed at addressing policy, systems, and environmental changes that contribute to health inequities.
A key accomplishment in her career was the revitalization of the Curtis D. Robinson Center, where she secured over $3 million in funding to expand innovative programs, including Connecticut’s first Hospital-based Violence Intervention Program, which received the 2023 Connecticut Hospital’s Community Service Award. Carolyn leads a team of trauma-informed Mental Health Clinicians, Community Health Workers and Family Advocates, driving initiatives such as the Social Care-Clinical Integration Program and the redesign of the Joan C. Dauber Food Pantry into a "green" facility, which now serves over 22,000 residents annually. Most recently, she launched the Food as Medicine program in the Fall of 2023 co-designing the program with community partners and Saint Francis Hospital Primary Care.
Carolyn’s diverse career spans both nonprofit and corporate sectors. Prior to joining Trinity Health, she held leadership roles at the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter and the American Diabetes Association. Her corporate experience includes roles at Pfizer and Nestlé Nutrition, where she focused on strategic partnerships to address critical public health issues. Carolyn holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, an MBA from Centenary University, and certifications in Healthcare Management and Women’s Leadership from the Yale School of Management.
